This long length trek offers incredible himalayan views, hiking through varied ecosystems, connection with local communities and village life, and the opportunity to dip into a natural hot spring. “ * ” denotes an optional addition to the trek itinerary.

ITINERARY

1 Pokhara to Banskarka (1020m): Leave Pokhara for a 3.5 hour drive along the Kali Gandaki river to Ghumaune Lake. The trail head is in Ghumaune Lake (900m). From Galeshwor it is a 3 hour hike to Banskarka.

2 Baskharka (1020m) to Nangi (2260m): Depart Banskarka for a 3 hour hike to Dandakateri (1570m), where you stop for lunch in a community dining hall. It is an additional 3 hours from Dandakateri to Nangi.

3 Nangi (2260m) to Mohare Danda (3300m): Depart Nangi for a 4 hour hike to Hampal Danda (3000m), where you stop to take packed lunch. Hike an additional 3.5 hours to Mohare Danda.

4 Mohare Danda (3300m) to Tikot (2060m): Wake up in the predawn morning to see the sunrise with a panoramic himalayan backdrop. Depart Mohare Danda for a 6 hour walk to Tikot. Along the way, stop for a packed lunch.

5 * Tikot (2060m) excursion: Tikot is a tightly packed village on a hilltop that looks down into deep valleys and is surrounded with 120 degrees of Himalayan peaks. You can spend the day in Tikot experiencing village life or exploring the surrounding jungle. Learn how to cook dal bhat, farm a terraced field, gather food in the forest, interact with teachers and students in the community school, play basketball or volleyball after school lets out, hike in the jungle.

6 Tikot (2250m) to Khibang (2060m): Depart Tikot for a 4 hour hike to Khibang. Along the way, stop for a packed lunch.

7 Khibang (2060m) to Swanta (2270m): Depart Khibang for a 3.5 hour hike to Swanta. Along the way, stop for a packed lunch.

8 Swanta (2270m) to Dhankharka (3026m): Depart Swanta for a 4 hour hike to Dhankharka. Along the way, stop for a packed lunch.

9 Dhankharka (3026m) to Khopra Danda (3660m): Depart Dhankharka for a 5 hour hike to Dhankharka. Along the way, stop for a packed lunch.

10 * Khopra Danda (3660m) day trip to Khayar Lake (4500m): Spend two nights at Khopra Danda and take a 7.5 hour round trip day trip to Khayar Lake.

11 Khopra Danda (3660m) to Paudwar (2000m): Depart Khopra Danda for a 4 hour hike to Paudwar. Along the way, stop for a packed lunch.

12 Paudwar (2000m) to Tatopani (840m): Depart Paudwar for a 2.5 hour hike to Tatopani. Take lunch once in Tatopani. While in Tatopani, take a dip in a natural hot spring.

13 Tatopani (840m) to Pokhara: Leave Tatopani for a 5 hour drive along the Kali Gandai river to Pokhara.
